Subaru Unveiled Legacy and Outback Touring Models

Subaru Unveiled Legacy and Outback Touring Models

The Subaru Company introduced the models Legacy Sport and Outback Touring for 2017. Read on to find out what changes it will bring.

The Legacy Sport features a modestly revised exterior with a dark gray grille and special fog lights that are set in gloss black housing. This model also features additional chrome trim, silver mirror caps, and new 18-inch alloy wheels.

The unique styling continues in the cabin starting from coated fabric seats in two-tone blue with contrasting thread, and accents of carbon fiber imitation. The interior adorns the shiny black decorations and Starlink infotainment system with a 7-inch screen. It certainly won’t win prizes for the best interior, but still we think that it is good enough for most drivers.
Power is provided by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 175 hp. It is also connected to a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission and a standard all-wheel-drive system. The previous version offered 3.6-liter unit also, but it seems that it has been dropped for 2017 model.

Proven engine has been chosen and in the future, we would like to see smaller turbocharged powerplant offered here.
Outback Touring went a step further and came closer to the top offers. Now it gets a dark gray grille, silver roof rails, and 18-inch alloy wheels with dark gray inserts.

The interior is upholstered in Java Brown leather and decorated with details of wood and shiny black accents. There is a 7.0-inch Starlink infotainment system with GPS navigation, and it seems that this becomes standard for this segment.
Customers can choose between two engines, the base 2.5-liter four cylinder engine which delivers 175 hp. Bigger and stronger 3.6-liter six-cylinder unit can pump out more impressive 256 hp.

Both models will go on sale this summer and pricing will be announced very soon. We do not expect to see any major oscillations and Legacy price should start from about $22,000 like the previous version while the Outback base version goes from about $25k, but Touring trim will certainly come with a higher price.
