FTC Saves the Day
However, not everything is against the electric car manufacturer. The Federal Trade Commission (FCT) sent the ten-page letter to the legislators in Michigan, urging them to allow electric car companies with Tesla among them to sell their products directly to the buyers. The FCT addresses one of the most critical questions in this letter, which is: “Who has the legal mandate to be able to determine just how customers ought to shop for their products they may wish to purchase?”
Of course, Tesla agrees with the FCT claims. In the recent press conference, the company’s spokesperson said that the states should not limit the customers from acquiring the vehicles in different ways.
