It is becoming hard to create movies and scenes that have that wow factor. This is especially hard in movie franchises like Fast And Furious where we were able to see so many fantastic car chases and crazy stunts that require crazy set of skills. Furious 7 brings things to the next level.
Total of three hundred and forty cars were used for this movie and two hundred and thirty cars were destroyed or damaged. This is something you might not notice while watching the movie but it certainly deserves that wow factor. List of damaged and destroyed cars is more than impressive and most people did not have the chance to see some of those vehicles let alone to ride in those.
During the “Mountain Hijack” scene, forty vehicles were damaged. Result is impressive and it is one of the best ever, fantastic scenery of the Colorado’s Monarch Pass helped with this. What is even more impressive is the fact that only about ten percent of all action sequences in this movie were created using CGI or computer generated graphics. Most of CGI work was related to hiding wires and structures that were there for filming purposes but also to create backgrounds.
About 3,500 workdays worth of time was needed to film all these stunts and crew did it flawlessly. Safety concerns forced fifty miles per hour limit for all stunt drivers that were lead by Joel Kramer.
