This information will make many Toyota fans happy. The TRD is an abbreviation for Toyota Racing Development and apparently Japanese carmaker plans to make this version available on the all-new 2017 Toyota C-HR.
Other than this, what fans also need to know is that the TRD has two versions. The first one is the Extreme Style pack, and it includes 16-inch alloy wheels, which are available in either silver or black, accompanied by bright red mud flaps. The cabin of the 2017 C-HR TRD will be upgraded and deliver overall improved. Among the features that we will be getting are door handle protectors, tire pressure monitoring system, and motion control beam.
The second version is the Aggressive Style Pack, and just like its brother, it features many updates both in and out of the vehicle. On this crossover’s exterior, few new features stick out, and those are the new LED daytime running lights (DRL), tailgate lip spoiler, new rear diffuser and front bumper. This version also has bigger side skirts then the other TRD model.
Now, we shall not lie to ourselves nor to you. The original C-HR does not look too good, and many are looking forward to seeing these two TRD versions since they look more promising. The TRD models will be launched in Japan first before debuting in any other country. The fact that it will be introduced to the Japanese market first makes sense because this vehicle is being produced there.
The 2017 Toyota C-HR will surely be coming to the U.S., and many are getting ready for that. The bad news is that we are still not sure that it will be available in the TRD version that many would want to own. Right now, the chances of this model coming to the U.S. are fifty-fifty.
